The Quick Scope is a new series here on GGMW3.com where we’re going to put our community members in the hot seat, and rapid fire questions at them. Up first is Quincy Perez, know in our community as “Grim.”

We’re going to quickly fire off some questions for Quincy, regarding his team, their roles, and how his team won the first ever GG MW3 Friday night tournament. Be sure to keep an eye on Grim and the rest of team ReDemption.
GG MW3: For those that may not already know, why don’t you introduce your teammates and their roles on the team.
Grim: Sting- support; King – slayer; grim- objective/support; and really haven’t settled in our a 4th quite yet but hopefully that decision will be made soon.
GG MW3: Early in the tournament you made a bold prediction that you were going to meet Obey in the finals — and win. That’s exactly what happened. How was the competition on the road to the finals? Did anyone surprise you?
Grim: The competition was rather easy, really didn’t have any struggles against any of the teams until the finals when we beat Obey.
GG MW3: Recap how the finals went, and how team Obey played in the finals.
Grim: Our first two ctf games were not pretty… really couldn’t get any clutch kills for flag captures and they had a lot of counter caps on us. Search we just stuck to our strategies going into them and ended up winning both of them. Last capture the flag we finally were able to hit our cuts and get some flag pulls and not allow them to get 2 or 3 of us down at same time and really held our ground.
GG MW3: Your team is relatively up and coming. Do you feel like you have something to prove to the easily recognizable teams such as Optic Gaming, Fear, and others?
Grim: Yeah, those teams have won how many tournaments and been so successful throughout the call of duties. Our skill level is up there with the best, we have a lot to prove this season .
GG MW3: We’re having these tournaments run every Friday. Once the word spreads, the competition is going to start descending upon our tournaments. Any teams out there that you look forward to playing against?
Grim: Leverage, IXI and Fear are probably couple of the better teams out there I’d like to see how we match up against.
GG MW3: Describe your role within your team, and what makes you a high level MW3 player.
Grim: King – I’m more of the defensive slayer, I tend to watch the cutoffs closest to our flag and watch the flag when we’re ahead on the other team. For search and destroy I consider myself to be the rusher of the team. I really like to get closer to other teams spawn and control the map from their side and really put them in difficult positions to stop our strategy.
